Let's Light The Night!
Welcome to December and the celebration of the advent of God’s Son who came into our world to light the night!
Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, our world was plunged into spiritual darkness, and that has been passed on to us all. But God had a plan before the creation of the world to send a Light into our darkness. The promises and prophecies were given of this coming Light throughout the Old Testament. People lived by faith believing and looking forward to the coming of this Messiah. In this Christmas season, we celebrate again that same anticipation that filled their hearts.
Then it happened!
The Light of the World came!
The Son of God took on a human body and entered our world to also become the Son of Man. Jesus came with the express purpose of representing us and paying the price for our sins by dying on the cross. He not only came to enter our world but ultimately to enter our hearts and lives as our Saviour and Lord. Christ came to dwell richly in our hearts by faith and to change and transforms us to live like Him and for Him.
Jesus came to be a light that would reveal God to the nations. God does that through believers called to reflect that light to our current dark world. As we celebrate Jesus, the light of the world, let’s fast and pray that God will help us Light the Night. Through our witness and acts of kindness, many more will come to the knowledge of the truth and find Jesus this Christmas season!

Your light extinguishes evil and darkness at all times. Your light gives sight and leads to life. I have the light of God in me. I declare that the light of God within me shall cause me to do good, live right and live by the truth. Jehovah is my light and my salvation therefore, I will not fear. The Lord is my fortress protecting me from all evil and dangers. Because light shines in the darkness for the godly, I affirm that, God’s light will shine in my darkness of sickness; darkness of fear, darkness of hopelessness, darkness of sin and darkness of unfruitfulness.
