Day 7 – Do you see God moving?

Read: Habakkuk 3:1; Genesis 11:31-32; Genesis 12:1-2

Our God is a God that always flows, moves, and advances. In today’s Scriptures, we see examples of this movement in Abram’s life as God calls him out of the Ur of Chaldeans and from Haran to Canaan land. (Genesis 11:31-32; 12:1-2)

Have you heard about the Lord and what He has done? If you have, you will be filled with awe by his amazing works, like Hakkakuk was… “I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works … I see God moving across the deserts from Edom, the Holy One coming from Mount Paran. His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise. 4 His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise. Rays of light flash from his hands, where his awesome power is hidden. Pestilence marches before him; plague follows close behind. When he stops, the earth shakes. When he looks, the nations tremble. He shatters the everlasting mountains and levels the eternal hills. He is the Eternal One.”

In every century God has been moving and working, and there is a stream of God’s work throughout the ages. He has never stopped moving, but rather – even though outwardly you may not see it – God is always working. The book of Acts records the stream of God’s move and work by the Holy Spirit which continues to this day. It will continue to do so in the days ahead! In each age He has a specific move, a specific work, and today we need to be in the up-to-date stream of God, in what He desires to do today. The Bible reveals the flowing about our Triune God…

The Father is the FOUNTAIN of LIVING WATER AND LIFE
For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see. … (Psalm 36:9; Jeremiah 2:13)

The Son, Jesus Christ is the SPRING OF LIFE
But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” (John 4:14)

The Holy Spirit is the RIVER OF LIFE
37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” 39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.) (John 7:37-39)

God is like a river… always moving and flowing onward. But do you see it? Can you see God moving in your life, circumstances, church? Ask Him to give you eyes to see what He is doing!
