The Battle Cry
When soldiers go out to fight their enemy, the sound that is often heard is a "battle cry" that unites them in their goal of taking on the enemy. At this time in history, I believe we are in a war for the hearts, minds and souls of our young people. There are so many voices speaking to them - which voice is right? Which direction should they take? I invite you to join us this Sunday morning for the message, "The Battle Cry".
This will be a message looking at some of the challenges that young people are facing today as they have gone back to school. We will also look at some of the ways that we as families and the church can offer practical help to our students as they face certain trials in our school systems. This message will also set the stage for our Prayer and Anointing Service that will take place Friday evening September 26th at 6:30 pm. We are looking forward to seeing you as we worship the Lord and delve into His word together!
OCTOBER – A MONTH OF THANKSGIVING
As we enter this season of gratitude, we are going to reflect on all the ways God has blessed us, our families and church. All our devotionals, prayer meetings and services for the entire month will explore the importance, value and power of thanksgiving. Be sure to buy your Thanksgiving Prayer Journals at the Welcome Center ($10) … take time every day in October to write down one thing you are grateful to God for in your life.
