Declaring War On Spiritual Drift
Spiritual drift happens … if you’re not paying attention. Have you ever looked up and realized you were farther from God than you ever intended to be? Spiritual drift doesn’t start with rebellion—it starts with neglect. With distraction. With apathy. With busyness that drowns out the voice of God. But the writer of Hebrews gives us a wake-up call: Hebrews 2:1 (NLT) … “So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.”
This Sunday, we’re not just acknowledging the danger—we’re declaring war on it. Join us as we unpack what spiritual drift really looks like in today’s culture; why it happens even to the most faithful believers; how to fight drift with spiritual discipline and devotion; practical tools to anchor your soul in Jesus daily.
No more drifting. No more coasting. It’s time to realign, refocus, and re-anchor your life in Christ. This is your call to arms. Declare war on spiritual drift—and win. Don’t come alone—bring someone who needs to be pulled back to the anchor of hope.
It’s also Communion Sunday, so join us as we gather as family to celebrate what Christ has done for us on the cross.

Keep It Moving
I am sure things are on the move in your household these day as you get back into the routine and schedule of work and school. There is nothing like the Fall season to get us all moving again! We have been praying for you and your family.
But maybe your feeling stuck. Overwhelmed by distractions, worries, or uncertainty.
It’s easy to get caught chasing after everything but what truly matters. But in Matthew 6:33, Jesus gives us a clear instruction — Seek first the Kingdom. When you do you will move past worry, beyond fear and forward in faith.
This week’s message, “Keep It Moving,” will be a powerful reminder that progress comes not from striving, but from seeking. When we prioritize God’s presence, His purpose, and His righteousness, everything else begins to align.
Join us this Sunday as we learn how to reclaim our focus in a distracted world and walk in spiritual alignment and purpose. To keep moving forward. Come expecting and ready to keep moving towards the life God has for you.
It’s Building Fund Sunday, so we encourage you to bring a special offering over/above your tithe to help us retire our mortgage. We will be providing an update on our progress too!
Next Week is our Fall kick-off, so plan to engage with our Prayer Meetings, LifeGroups, and Midweek Worship & Prayer Services! We look forward to seeing you!

The Harvest Rule
Every seed you plant today shapes the harvest you’ll receive tomorrow.
Join us this Sunday as we explore one of the most powerful principles in Scripture: Sowing and Reaping. Whether in your faith, relationships, finances, or daily decisions—what you sow will come back to you, for better or for worse.
In this message, we’ll answer key questions like:
What kind of seeds are you sowing in your life right now?
Are you planting in the flesh or in the Spirit?
What does it mean to reap a harvest of blessing?
How can you stay encouraged when you see no results?
Don’t miss this timely and challenging word that will help you plant with purpose and live with eternal perspective. God is not mocked—and His promises are sure. The harvest is coming!
Bring your families this Sunday for our Back-to-School Prayer as we will be praying for and over all our students.
Our Wednesday Worship & Prayer Service s currently on a summer break for the month of August. We will see you again on Wednesday, September 10.

The Fruitful Life
Everyone wants their lives to count for something … to bear fruit. But what kind of fruit are we talking about and why does it matter. In a world full of distractions and delusions, discover what it means to truly abide in Christ and live a life that overflows with purpose, impact, and spiritual abundance.
God’s desire isn’t just that we bear fruit—but that we bear more fruit… and ultimately, much fruit. We will discover the role pruning plays in this process. Together we will learn how rewarding it is to live a fruitful life for the glory of God.
It's also Missions Sunday so please plan to bring an offering towards missions. Guest missionary Jason Cornelius will be with us to briefly share about his world-wide ministry with Global Ed.
Also note our Wednesday Worship & Prayer Service is currently on a summer break for the month of August. We will see you again on September 10.

From Roots To Fruits
Every tree that bears fruit first grows unseen roots. In the same way, God often works in the quiet, hidden seasons of our lives to prepare us for the visible fruit He wants to produce.
Join us this Sunday for a powerful message titled “From Roots to Fruit” as we explore what it means to grow through the spiritual seasons — from the slow, silent rooting seasons to the fruitful, flourishing ones.
“They will be like a tree planted by the water... it does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” – Jeremiah 17:8
Whether you’re feeling buried, dry, or finally seeing breakthrough, this message will remind you that every season has a purpose, and God is growing something in you — even when you can’t see it yet.
We will also be having a number of personal testimonies of God’s provisions, protection and healing! These stories will cause your spirit to soar and build your faith and trust in God!
Also note our Wednesday Worship & Prayer Service is currently on a summer break for the month of August. We will see you again on Wed. September 10, 7pm

Soil Check
Is your heart ready to grow?
In Jesus’ Parable of the Sower, He speaks about four different types of soil — but really, He's talking about the condition of our hearts. This Sunday, we're asking a crucial question: What kind of soil are you? Whether you're feeling spiritually dry, overwhelmed with distractions, or hungry for deeper growth, this message will challenge and encourage you to take a closer look at your soul's condition. Join us as we break down: the hardened heart, the shallow heart, the crowded heart, the fruitful heart. And discover how you can prepare your heart to receive God’s Word — and bear lasting fruit. Come expectant. Leave transformed. Let’s do a Soil Check.
It's also Communion Sunday so please pick-up your personal elements upon entry into service.
Also note our Wednesday Worship & Prayer Service is currently on a summer break for the month of August. We will see you again in September.

The Garden Of Your Life
Have you ever felt like you’re being pruned, stretched, or planted in unfamiliar soil? Jesus said “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener… He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” (John 15:1–2)
This Sunday, join us as we explore “The Garden Of Your Life” —a message about how God lovingly tends to our lives for growth, fruitfulness, and transformation. Whether you’re in a season of flourishing or feeling like you’re being stripped back, you can trust the hands of the Master Gardener. Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that the One who plants you is the One who grows you. Bring a friend. Come expecting. Let’s grow together.
It’s Building Fund Sunday (1st Sunday of Month), so please come with a special offering to help us retire our mortgage.

Trusting God's Sovereignty
So many times we take a look at our city, our Country, our world and we are perplexed. We ask many questions when we observe things that do not make any sense! We look at society, we look at our own lives and we ask, Why? In the book of Habakkuk, the prophet was also perplexed by what he saw taking place around him. In his zeal for God, he was also asking many questions.
This Sunday we invite you to join us as we delve into the topic "Trusting God's Sovereignty." We will see how the man of God gets some of his questions answered and learns to trust even in the midst of darkness.
Please join us this Sunday as we worship the Lord and enjoy His wonderful presence.
Looking forward to seeing you.

We Are Citizens of Heaven!
Aww - The Pride of Citizenship!
Two weeks ago we had the celebration of Nations – and what a celebration it was! – wow, exciting – the food, the clothes/colors – the music and the dance – people laughing, sharing and eating – 54 Nations represented in our church family and growing – when pastor Russell called the names of the countries, the cheers, the roaring of the saints in the sanctuary – I thought I was at a sporting event!
The Pride of the Nations!
There was one more celebrations – On Tuesday we celebrated Canada Day – festivities and events were planned throughout the day – flag waving and red and white colors were seen all over the country – we are Canadians – jubilation and excitement filled the air!
The Pride of a nation!
In our text for Sunday, Paul states, But we are citizen of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior.
As Christians, we are Citizens not only here on earth but our citizenship is in heaven. What a profound thought!
We invite you to come on Sunday as we unpack this profound truth and its implications for us as Christians.

God’s Life-Giving Spirit…
Have you ever felt like you were just going through the motions? Alive on the outside but empty on the inside? Many people feel spiritually exhausted, emotionally dry, and far from purpose. But the good news today is this: God is not a distant, detached deity—He is the Life-Giving Spirit.
In a world full of distractions and dead ends, we need more than just inspiration—we need impartation. We need the breath of God to fill our lungs, stir our hearts, and awaken our souls. Scripture says: “The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 15:45. Come this Sunday and experience the breathe of God. Bring a friend, come expectant, leave revived.
We extend our deepest condolences to Kumar Soysa and his family on the passing of his wife Chandra this week. Funeral details will be sent in a separate email. Please join us in praying for God’s comfort, strength and peace for this precious family. May the Lord surround them with His love and grace as they navigate this season of loss.

The Call To Follow
People make the most important decision in their lives when they choose to believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Saviour. But the call of Jesus extends to following him. Have you ever wondered what it really means to follow Jesus? It’s more than just a phrase—it’s a life-altering call to surrender, purpose, and an abundant life.
Whether you're just beginning to explore faith or have walked with Christ for years, this message will challenge and encourage you to walk more closely with the One who calls us by name. This Sunday, we’re diving into one of the most powerful invitations ever spoken: “Come, follow Me.” Bring a friend. Come expectant. Your journey might just change forever.
Election Day is this coming Monday. We have been praying for this upcoming election as God calls us in His Word to pray for those are in authority (1 Timothy 2:2).
So we also have a responsibility to exercise our civic responsibility and privilege before God. So we encourage you to get out and vote for the candidate that most closely aligns themselves with God’s Word.

This weekend we will gather to reflect on the two most powerful and profound moments in history. The moment when Jesus, our Savior, hung on cross, enduring the deepest suffering humanity could bear. Yet, in midst of that dark moment, there is a message of hope—a message that resonates across the generations. Join us for our Good Friday Communion Service as we find ‘Hope in the Darkness of The Cross.’
Then, we will come together on Sunday to celebrate the most transformative event in human history—the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The resurrection is the cornerstone of our Christian faith. It is the ultimate victory over sin, death, and the grave. It’s a victory that brings with it hope—hope that sustains us in our darkest moments and assures us of God’s eternal promises. Celebrate with us this Easter Sunday and find ‘Hope in The Victory of the Resurrection’!
Join us for a special Good Friday Prayer Conference Call, 8pm.
Dial 647-977-2648 (Canada) 202-602-1295 (USA) Code: 827-220-552#
Please note on Sunday, additional parking will be available at the baseball diamonds across the street with free shuttle service starting at 8:30 am. We are asking all our staff, volunteer workers and anyone else willing, to park to there to help us free up parking spaces for our honoured guests. Thank you for your willingness to help us in this manner.

Easter Series: 'Hope In the Shadows'
Life can often feel like a series of highs and lows — moments of joy and clarity, but also seasons of confusion, difficulty, and pain. In these darker times, when we feel overshadowed by sorrow, fear, or uncertainty, it can be hard to find our way. Yet, Scripture reminds us that even when we feel like we are ‘living in the shadows’, we are not alone God’s presence, promises, and purposes remain steadfast, even in the midst of our struggles.
As Holy Week begins this weekend, also known as the Passion Week of Christ we will explore what it meant for people to live in the shadows during the final week of Christ’s like on earth. The people of Jerusalem were waiting for a king — but perhaps not the kind of king that was arriving. The hope they placed in Jesus was real, but it was also shaped by their expectations and understanding of what the Messiah would be.
Join us this Palm Sunday, as we will take a deeper look at Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. A day filled with joy, anticipation, and yes even hope. ‘The Hope of the Arriving King’ who arrived not only then but still does today.
