Divine Connections through BLAST!
This month of July truly has been a BLAST! 🙂 Throughout this month we have had an incredible outreach to children in our local community through BLAST. This year, God gave us a vision to ask our South-Asian Fellowship to partner with us to engage with the parents and grandparents of these children. As Pastor Kim and her team minister to their children, Pastor Shamoon and Robina and people from their church, have been connecting with the adults who come to watch their children. We are truly making connections and building relationships with people in the community surrounding our church.
This has taken this outreach opportunity to a whole new level as we will be able to engage with the adults too because they can speak their language! We have been connecting with people and inviting them to attend our new South Asian Fellowship service on Sundays at 4pm.
God gave both Peter and Cornelius visions that changed their world. In Acts 10 we read about Peter’s vision that God gave to break through his current mindset and make it crystal clear that the saving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ is for every person on earth. God challenged Peter’s mindset in three different ways.
To shift from self-centered thinking to other-centered thinking. “For God so loved the world (of people) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). God’s heart was not just for the Jews but for the all the Gentile nations of the earth. May the Lord make that mind shift in us too!
To shift from the here-and-now thinking to the eternal thinking. The eternal destiny of the souls of all people is what should be paramount in our hearts and minds. “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
To shift from local thinking to global thinking. We are called to reach people locally, nationally and internationally. This is the pattern given to us in Scripture, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me, in Jerusalem (our city), and in all Judea (our nation) and Samaria (cross-culturally in our city/nation) and to the end of the earth (global).
We are called to go to the nations of the world. “Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind. (Psalm 67:2 TLB). However, God has brought the nations of the earth to the Toronto/Brampton area too! What a unique opportunity to reach people with the gospel in our own city! Would you dedicate this Wednesday to fast and pray for our FINAL BLAST outreach? Would you pray that the Holy Spirit will water the seeds of the gospel that have been planted in their hearts?

Lord, I thank you for giving me life and sustaining me and my household this year.
Confess any known and unknown sins.
Lord, surround all of our BLAST program workers and PPT kids with divine protection in Jesus’ name.
Jesus we pray against equipment failures and any mishaps from the enemy.
Psalm 67:2 – Father, may You be known to our community through our BLAST program this year.
Jehovah, may Your ways be known in the city of Brampton through the BLAST program.
Psalm 67:2 – Lord, may Your saving power be present throughout the BLAST program in July.
Psalm 67:2 – In Jesus’ name, let Your saving power touch the members of our community during the BLAST program.
Acts 10:28-29 – Like Peter, let PPT have the right attitude towards our community.
Acts 10:28 - In Jesus’ name, Father let every worker and member of PPT have the right mindset for the lost souls of our community.
Act 10:1 - Lord, use the BLAST program to connect with all the ”Cornelius” in the community in Jesus’ name.
Acts 1:8 – Lord, unleash Your power on all of the BLAST program workers and PPT kids during the month of July.
2 Peter 3:9 – God Almighty, use the BLAST program to reach out to our community.
John 3:16 – Lord, let souls be saved during our BLAST program.
In Jesus’ name we bind and render ineffective the work of the devil and his agents against any of the BLAST participants and workers.

Pray for the sick among us for total and complete divine healing. (mention them by name)
Unleash Your protection and providence upon the persecuted church globally in Jesus’ name.
