We come to you Lord today as a nation. In general, we have moved away the principles and precepts of God’s Word that would bring His blessing and favour upon us a nation. The disregard for God’s morality has resulted in decay, hopelessness, violence and all sorts of destruction in our streets and homes. Let’s call on God today by humbling ourselves in response to His word and ask, Lord help us again as in the past. “If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land”. (2 Chronicles 7:14) Let’s pray that God’s timeless truth and wisdom would be recognized and promoted in all levels of our governments and our nation as a whole.
We come to you Lord today as a church. Revive and awaken your people that we once again would love God and love others. May we boldly stand for the truth of your Word and desire the power of your Holy Spirit, so that we don’t conform to the values of the world around us, but rather be conformed to the truth of your Word and the image of your Son, Jesus Christ. “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” (Psalm 51:17) In response to your word, you will not despise us as we fast and pray today to restore PPT as well as the global church and bring us to where you want us to be. We desire and pray for a hunger for your word and strength to live as you would by loving people and hating sin in all its shape and form.
We come to you Lord today as a family. Lord, may we not be obsessed with our own pleasure, or lust for wealth. Give us a heart to read your Word personally in our homes and with our families so that we might teach our children and be an example to them. Today, we respond to your word. “You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago”. (Micah 7: 20) As Joseph kept his integrity and lived the word in the midst of unimaginable agony and as the three Hebrew boys stood for your word with their very lives, help us as you helped them to live for you in all our relationships and in all that we do. This is our prayer, help us Lord.
