Let Freedom Reign
This month we celebrate the Canada Day holiday commemorating the birth of our nation. On July 1, 1867 Canada became a new federation with its own constitution by signing the Constitution Act - formerly known as the British North America Act.
Canada’s national anthem declares we are, ‘the True North strong and free’ and asks that ‘God keep our land glorious and free.’
There is an inborn cry in every heart for freedom. However, freedom is an interesting word that means different things to people. We long for it not always knowing what it actually looks like. Many people are seeking political freedom as wars rage around the world. Others cry out for personal freedom to do what they want with their lives and bodies, as we witness with the overturning of Roe vs Wade and the abortion debate in America.
Freedom is understood as either having the ability to act or change without constraint or to possess the power and resources to fulfill one's purposes unhindered.
Jesus taught about true essence of freedom, how to receive that freedom and how to live in freedom. Because first and foremost what we need is spiritual freedom.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). Jesus is the truth that sets us free. And the truth is we are slaves to sin. When we believe in him and receive him as Saviour and Lord, He forgives us and breaks the power of sin and places a new nature within us.
When that radical spiritual freedom is won at the core of our being, then we are truly free. Then there is an ongoing work of the Spirit to bring deliverance and freedom to our soul (mind, emotions and will) as we walk in the truth of God’s Word. This freedom allows us to love God and love others, walk in truth, and live life to the fullest.
Let’s pray that freedom will come to the spirits of those who do not yet know Christ – that they will come to believe in Jesus and receive Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. Let’s pray that greater freedom will come to the souls of God’s people – freedom from fears, anxieties, discouragement, depression, or addictions that have been brought on through the pandemic. Let’s pray that healing and freedom from sickness and disease will flow to those in body who need it. Let’s believe for freedom to reign in people’s spirit, soul, and bodies as we believe it, declare it, and decree it in Jesus Name!

Thank the Lord for allowing you to participate in this month’s day of prayer and fasting.
1 John 1:9 – Confess any known and unknown sins.
Psalm 126:3 - Father, I am forever grateful for what You have done for me and my household (mention them and thank Him fervently)
John 8:36 – Father, I celebrate and thank You that are the source of true freedom.
John 8:34 – Jesus my Saviour break and deliver me from any bondage of sin (mention them ) in and around my life.
John 8:34 – My weaknesses and vulnerabilities (mention them ) impedes my freedom; deliver me O Lord, from them in Jesus name. (pray this fervently)
Galatians 3:22 – Father, break the bondages of sin in my household and my extended family in Jesus name. (mention them )
Galatians 3:22 - Lord, use the church to break the bondages of sin in our culture today.(pray this fervently )
Psalm 119:45 – Let the church experience complete freedom as we honour and follow You.
Romans 6:4 – Father, I ask that the glorious power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead will empower me, PPT and the church to walk in freedom. (pray this fervently )
Jehovah Elohim, use Your church to release freedom into our communities, cities and the nations. (pray this fervently )
Lord, we decree that Your freedom will reign in our land and the nations.
Jehovah Nissi, crush and demolish any spiritual and physical obstacles including mindsets to my freedom in Jesus name. (pray this fervently )
Luke 4:18 – Father release Your anointing on all of our pastors (mention them by name ) , elders and musicians in this season (pray this fervently)
Pray for the sick and the lonely, in and connected to the PPT church family.
Jehovah Nissi uproot and crush the spirit of Goliath and tyranny that has been released upon the world. Surround the nation of Ukraine like mount Zion. Stall the advancement, confuse the Russian military forces and let their plans backfire in Jesus’ name.
Pray for the persecuted Christians in the world today.
Prayer Declaration
Father, I thank you that you are the source of all freedom. I am free through and through by the blood and the Word. Father, I will intentionally and continually embrace your precepts in all things. Lord, let my household, PPT households, and the church intentionally and continually embrace the Truth which is God’s Truth in all things. As a result, release true freedom into our lives and situations in Jesus name; freedom from sin, sicknesses, addictions, fear, anxieties, depression, despair, discouragement and the evil cultural norms of today. Jehovah Nissi, crush and demolish any spiritual and physical obstacles including mindsets to my freedom in Jesus name. Rain your fire on any spiritual and physical obstacles to our freedom. Let your freedom reign in my life, household, PPT households, the church, and the nations of the earth. By your word, I decree that the glorious power that raised Jesus from the dead will empower me, my household, PPT, the church, and this nation to walk and live unquestionably free. I seal this with the blood of Jesus and so shall it be.
