Grace, Love, and Fellowship
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. —2 Corinthians 13:14 (NLT)
This powerful Trinitarian benediction found at the end of the Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians speaks to the reality of the Trinity—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Like a three-legged stool, it provides us with the spiritual foundational blessings each person of the Trinity offers to us.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ gives us salvation and all our spiritual blessings. Grace can be generally defined as “God’s favour toward the unworthy” or “God’s benevolence on the undeserving.” In his grace, God is willing to forgive us and bless us, despite the fact that we fall short of living righteously. That grace is found in Jesus Christ. “We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 15:11, NLT). Let’s pray that people will come to Jesus and find the grace they so desperately need and long for in their lives.
The love of God is foundational to our understanding of God’s dealings with us.“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, NKJV) When the love of God fills our hearts, we have confidence that, “No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39, NLT). Let’s pray that people will experience the love of God and it will flood their hearts and lives as it has the power to keep us rooted and grounded in God.
The fellowship of the Holy Spirit speaks of the relationship we can enjoy with the Holy Spirit who comes to commune with us. When we walk in close fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we enjoy great comfort even in times of sorrow and difficulty (Acts 9:31). The Holy Spirit also offers his counsel to guide us into all truth (John 16:13) and teach us what we need to know (John 14:26). When we have fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we can get great confidence and courage to face the battles of life. (Isaiah 59:19). Let’s pray that God’s people will experience a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit so we can receive all that he willingly offers and supplies!

Lord, like the apostles of old, release a greater measure of grace (great grace) upon me, my household, PPT, and the church in this season in Jesus’ name. Grace to be obedient to your will and grace to dominate my environment (situations and conditions) both physical and spiritual. Jesus, let me experience the sweet communion with the Holy Spirit daily. Lord, remove any obstacles, limitations in and around my life that adversely affect my relationship with the Holy Spirit. Lord, I affirm that I will not take the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this season for granted.
Father, I decree that nothing in creation, of creation, and about creation will separate me, my household, PPT, and the church from the love of God. Surround me, my household, PPT households, and the church with your unwavering and unambiguous love.
“Now may the grace and joyous favour of the Lord Jesus Christ, the unambiguous love of God and the precious communion of the Holy Spirit be mine continually.” So shall it be.
